'Imperial Measurements' consists of two 3 metre tall
structures, that when first encountered by the viewer will appear
as two large mirrors, set at angles to one another, reflecting the
surrounding architectural details and building
structure. However, upon further inspection these 'reflections' become more confusing
as the viewer is unable to find his own image and changing position begins to
unravel the illusion revealing the sculptural installation, creating further
disorientation. Working upon a variety of levels, Sinta Werner's sculptural installations
purposefully set out to transform three dimensional space into a two dimensional
image, and turn viewer into unsuspecting participant. (Stuart Tulloch)
